See a dog or cat that you think would be a good fit for you? Click on the "Adopt" button next to their picture. If you would like to foster the pet instead, click on the "Foster" button if available. Your application may also be applied to multiple animals or saved for 90 days should the animal you applied for become adopted before your application is able to be processed.
Once we receive your application, we will speak to your landlord and current pets' veterinarian (if applicable) and call your references (cannot be related to you). If everything checks out, we will then contact you for a meet and greet or home visit if appropriate for that animal. Please keep in mind: If you are not approved for the pet you applied for, it means our adoption team has determined it's not the best fit for that animal, or there may have been other applications in process when yours was submitted and that animal was adopted. We do have many others who come into rescue, so please keep your options open. WE DO NOT ACCEPT APPLICATIONS OUTSIDE OF COLORADO, as our resources are limited and we are unable to retrieve an an animal that is not working out in an adoptive home.
Once you find the right match, we will ask you to fill out an adoption agreement/contract and pay the appropriate adoption fee. Most adoption fees are as follows and include: spay/neuter, current age appropriate vaccines, microchip and registration. All adoption fees are non-refundable, all fees are used for medical care and expenses of all animals in our rescue and operations costs to continue our life saving efforts. Our fees are calculated and averaged based on an annual basis of cost of care for all animals in our care.
Have a question about our adoptables? Email us, and we will respond within 24 hours.

Disclaimer: We do not allow visitations at our foster homes for the safety and respect of privacy for our foster families. An application must be submitted and approved before a meet and greet is set up. It will be in a neutral location unless the foster family specifies otherwise.
